Eat Fast Food!

Posted by: admin  :  Category: Food and Drinks

Ok, don’t get too excited over the title of this article. If you are trying to lose fat, you certainly can eat fast food but not in the way you are probably thinking. With obesity at an all time high, even fast food joints have made considerable changes to their menu to include “less fatty foods. The items you need to avoid on any fast food menu would be the deep fried foods and sodas. Any fitness guru will tell you to avoid fast food restaurants as if they were the plague but if you really have to go, here are some tips that will limit the garbage you put into your system.

1. Avoid Soft Drinks. They have high fructose corn syrup which, as you may already know, is guaranteed belly fat. Drink water but if you need something with some flavor, try unsweetened or lightly sweetened ice tea. 2. Don’t eat anything that is fried. That includes french fries and hash browns and don’t order anything baked which includes chicken nuggets, chicken patties, or breaded fish sandwiches. These have an obscene amount of trans fat that is absorbed into them from industrial hydrogenated vegetable oils they use to fry. 3. If you want chicken, eat the grilled chicken sandwiches, or grilled chicken salad (without croutons). 4. Have a plain cheeseburger. Remember the movie, Super Size Me? There was a guy who ate burgers from a fast food joint for about three decades without any fries or soft drinks and he was fine (sort of). The main guy who ate the “meal deals wound up with some major health issues. Not that we are endorsing fast food burgers because they are still unhealthy but the point we are making is that you get the most fat from the fried foods and drinks containing high fructose corn syrup. 5. For breakfast, have an English muffin sandwich with egg, ham, and cheese. Don’t eat the croissant because it contains a lot of trans fat. You can also have a salad or fruit.

If you can avoid fast food, please do so but if you find yourself in front of a register be smart and selective with your food choices. Remember, high fructose corn syrup is a major cause for being overweight and trans fat is known to do serious degenerative internal effects in your body such as inflammation, clogging and hardening of the arteries, heart disease, various forms of cancer…and not to mention the belly fat as well.
